Anoop Chandra Pandey has been appointed as the Election Commissioner by the Law Ministry’s Legislative Department. ISRO Invented Automated Ventilators: Top 10 Current Affairs
ISRO has developed three types of automated compression ventilators. The cost of Prana (Programmable Respiratory Assistance for the Needy Aid) ventilators will be reduced. The ventilator can provide the patient with the appropriate flow of the oxygen-air mixture. It has a touch screen and systems such as an airway pressure sensor, a flow sensor, an oxygen sensor, and a servo actuator. Sifan Hassan Set a New Record: Important Current Affairs For UPSC
Sifan Hassan, a female athlete from the Netherlands, has set a new world record in the 10,000 metres. At the athletics meet in Hengelo, Hassan ran the 10,000 metres in 29:06.82 seconds. Sifan is also the one-mile and five-kilometre road race world record holder. She is the only athlete in the world to have won the 10,000 and 1500 metres at the same World Championships in both the men’s and women’s categories. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Hassan beat the world record set by Almaz Ayana of Ethiopia (29:17.45 seconds). Siphan has also issued a challenge to his opponents in the run-up to the Tokyo Olympics.
