1st ITBP Women Officier: Gk Current Affairs In English
For the first time, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has hired two female policemen. Previously, only constable roles were open to women. After the passing out procession, a total of 53 officers graduated from the ITBP Officers Training Academy in Mussoorie. Both women officers, Prakriti and Diksha, were given the title of Assistant Commandant by Dhami and Deswal, which is the first officer rank in the paramilitary force. ITBP began recruiting female combat officers in its cadre in 2016 through the Union Public Service Commission’s All India Examination. These officers will be assigned to all ITBP units across the country, including the LAC with China.

Commodore Rao Passed Away: Important Current Affairs
KP Gopal Rao, a naval commander who was a hero in the 1971 war between India and Pakistan, died in Chennai. The Maha Vir Chakra was bestowed upon him.
