National Hydrogen Mission: Today Current Affairs

The National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), Pusa in New Delhi, has opened the world’s second-largest restored state-of-the-art National Gene Bank. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar gave the opening remarks. Seed heritage can be preserved for years in temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. Tomar believes that India’s farmers are completely capable of conquering the obstacles that the agriculture sector faces. The enhanced gene bank with state-of-the-art germplasm facilities, according to Union Agriculture Minister Kailash Choudhary, will help agri-farmers. The National Gene Bank was founded in 1996 to safeguard Plant Genetic Resources seeds.
