Miss Universe 2021: Gk Current Affairs Of May 2021
Andrea Meza of Mexico has been crowned as Miss Universe for the 69th time. Meza defeated Miss Brazil Julia Gama to win the title. Apart from that, Tunzi, a South African native, is the 1st black woman to win the Miss Universe award, which she has held since December 2019. Jojibini Tunzi, the defending Miss Universe, put the crown on Meza’s head. Meza holds a bachelor’s degree in software engineering. Mario Lopez of ‘Access Hollywood and Olivio Culpo, actress, model, and Miss Universe in 2012, hosted the event. Paula M. Shugart, the chairperson of the ‘Miss Universe Organization, said prior to the event that the ceremony followed the same rules as Miss USA, which will be held in Memphis in November 2020. Linguist Ranganathacharya Passed Away: Latest Current Affairs Of Today
Ranganath Acharya, one of the most influential literary critics and linguists, passed away. On behalf of the Council, he held twelve conferences on different topics in modern literature under the name ‘Saraswati Vedika.’ Ranganath Acharya, a linguist, was born in Sitarambagh, Hyderabad, in 1941. He began his career as a teacher in a high school in Nampally, then moved on to the Andhra Saraswati Parishad Oriental College in 1967. Finally, he retired from the Central University of Hyderabad as a professor and dean. Telangana Saraswati Parishad president Acharya Ellury Siva Reddy was saddened by Ranganath’s death.
Lal Bhatia Passed Away: Important Current Affairs Of UPSC
Raghunandan Lal Bhatia, a senior Congress leader and six-time Member of Parliament from Amritsar, has died. Raghunandan was first elected to the Lok Sabha from the Amritsar parliamentary constituency in 1972. From 2004 to 2008, Raghunandan Bhatia served as Governor of Kerala, and from 2008 to 2009, he served as Governor of Bihar. He served as the party’s Punjab unit president and general secretary, among other roles. In 1992, Bhatia also served as Minister of State for External Affairs. After the 1972 elections, he stood for and won elections on the Indian National Congress ticket in 1980, 1985, 1992, 1996, and 1999. Raghunandan Bhatia’s death was mourned by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

Vimalkumar, Olympian V. Diju, Sanev Thomas, and George Thomas were all coached by Balachandran Nair. V. Diju, an Olympian, won the Arjuna award after winning matches under Balachandran’s mentorship.
