The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) identified the value of information and stated on November 17, 2015, that September 28 is commenced as the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI). The theme of the 2021 IDUAI is “The Right to Know – Higher Reconstruction with Access to Information”. Aapda Mitra Scheme: Current Affairs 2021

Mr. Amit Shah, Home affairs minister, presented the Aapda Mitra Scheme training manuals, as well as Aapda Mitra and Common Alerting Protocol plan papers, on the occasion of the disaster management system’s launch, New Delhi. N S Tomar Launches Amul Honey: 29 September 2021 Current Affairs

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar virtually launched “Amul Honey”. It is a product of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), the owner of the Amul brand in conjunction with the “National Bee Board (NBB),” on September 28th. Speaking during the launch, Mr. Tomar highlighted the importance of the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission in increasing the income of small farmers. The Mission is being carried out across the country with a 500 crore rupee financial commitment to increase the income of farmers and beekeepers via beekeeping. According to Mr. Tomar, the country has 86% small farmers. Connecting small farmers with other aspects of agriculture, such as beekeeping, is important to enhance their revenue.

India, US Sign two MoUs: Daily GK Current Affairs

Mansukh Mandaviya, India’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare, spoke at the conclusion of the fourth Indo-US Health Dialogue, which was hosted by India. The two-day Dialogue gave the two countries an opportunity to assess their current healthcare collaboration. Two Memorandums of Understanding were also signed at the end of the session. One Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed to promote collaboration in health and biomedical sciences. The opposing MOU was signed for collaboration with the International Centre for Excellence in Analysis (ICER). Mr. Mandaviya, speaking on the occasion, stated that India and the United States are global partners who must collaborate in repairing the global health infrastructure, whose flaws have become abundantly evident during the present epidemic.

Country’s First Pan-India Helpline: Today Current Affairs in English

The government has made a historic step toward addressing the issues and concerns that the older population faces by launching the country’s first Pan-India toll-free hotline, 14567, entitled “Elder Line.” This was launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The helpline offers free information and assistance on pension and legal concerns, as well as emotional support. It also interacts on the ground in situations of abuse and rescues homeless seniors. So far, 17 states have opened the Elder line, and more are in the works. Over 2 lakh calls have been received in the previous four months alone, with over 30 thousand seniors already served. Approximately 40% of these calls were linked to vaccination recommendations and questions, while nearly 23% were related to pension.

AmritGrand Challenge Program: Today Latest Current Affairs

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, today launched the “AmritGrand Challenge Program” named “CARE” on 28th September to identify 75 start-up innovations in telemedicine, digital health, mHealth, BIG data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and other technologies. Grand Challenge’s launch coincides with the Prime Minister’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, according to the Minister. He said that it is important for young startups and entrepreneurs to come up with creative ideas and solutions to India’s healthcare problems. During India’s Century of Independence celebrations, he remarked that the 75 Best Chosen Startups will be an asset to India in leading the country over the next 25 years.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment A. Narayanaswamy paid a visit to District Kulgam in Jammu&Kashmir on 28th September.
