Educational Qualifications – MCL Assistant Foreman & Technician Recruitment 2026  

As per the MCL official notification, candidates must have completed Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or Matriculation with ITI in Electrician Trade along with required permit/experience as per the post requirements.

Assistant Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee): Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 years) approved by AICTE OR Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering approved by AICTE.

Technician (Electrician) (Trainee): Matriculation with ITI (2 years) in Electrician Trade with NCVT/SCVT certificate along with 1 year training/experience and valid LT Permit under IE Rules for Mines or 440-550 Volts Mining Permit.

Selection Process

As per the MCL Recruitment Notification, candidates for the above-mentioned posts will be selected based on:

Computer Based Test (CBT)

Medical Examination

Salary 

As per the Apprenticeship Rules, selected candidates will receive stipend during the training period.

• Graduate Apprenticeship Training Duration – 1 Year
• Stipend will be paid as per Railway Board norms
