1st Female Astronaut Of UAE: Daily Current Affairs Of April 2021
The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has announced that a female astronaut will be sent into space for the first time. Out of 4,000 applicants, Noura al-Matroushi and Mohammad al-Mullah were chosen for the post. Matraushi works for the National Petroleum Construction Company in Abu Dhabi as an engineer. Similarly, al-Mullah is currently the head of the Dubai Police Department’s pilot training section. The two will begin training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, in the coming days.
