On December 18, 2021, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recently demonstrated the ‘Agni P’, the latest-generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile. The launch site for Agni P. was Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s island off the coast of Odisha. The missile’s course and characteristics were observed and tracked by several telemetries, electro-optical stations, radar, and downrange ships positioned along the eastern coast. Agni P followed a well-defined path and completed all of the mission’s objectives with superb accuracy. Agni P is a two-stage solid-propellant ballistic missile with a redundant guidance and navigation system. The National Cadet Corps and the National Highways Authority of India have agreed to recycle plastic garbage collected by NCC Cadets during the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan and other Swachhta programs.
